Opera In The Alps – Saturday 19th January 2008.
Australian Music Events is proud to present celebrated international soprano, YVONNE KENNY to Opera in the Alps 2008. She will be joined by Australia’s tenor sensation ROY ALEXANDER BEST, a 100-voice chorus and 50-piece orchestra led by one of the brightest young conductors of his generation, BENJAMIN NORTHEY.
Staged on the picturesque grounds of La Trobe at Beechworth, Opera in the Alps has become firmly established as one of regional Victoria’s cultural highlights since its inception in 1996. Audience members can expect an evening of sensory delights as they enjoy favourites from opera and theatre under the stars and savour some of the
region’s finest gourmet food and wine that are sold at outlets prior to the commencement of the concert.
For those who seek complete indulgence, the Premium Package comprising a two-course preconcert dinner followed by dessert at interval is available. The selection of fine wines will be provided by Brown Brothers. The dinner is held on the lawns of the Pines Convention Centre that commands a breathtaking view of the concert
setting, and is the ultimate way to experience Opera in the Alps.

hi, i'm hoping someone may be able to help me with either a list of what was performed at the 2005 'opera in the alps' or a copy of the official program for the event that year. my boyfriend attended it and loved one of the pieces but cannot remember the name...
any help would be very much appreciated!!!
