Half of Beechworth received a phone call from me this afternoon. I had a customer who left his booking confirmation (he booked directly with the operator) at home and could not remember the name, address of the self contained property he and his family was booked into.
Jim & Heidi had the gentleman arrive on their door step thinking that he had booked Lakeside Chalet.
He thought the property had views of the lake, to collect the keys from High Street and there were several cabins on the property.
Any ideas anyone? Well we (Jim, Heidi & myself) phoned and eliminated the below properties:
-Albert House
-Blue Wren Cottage
-Beeches on High
-Beechworth Cabins
-Beechworth Hideaway
-Inglebrea
-Lake Sambell Caravan Park
-Lakeside Studio
-Lakeside Chalet
-Lilack Cottage
-Linden Cottage
-Oban House
-The Barn
-The Stone Cottage
-Wolverton Cottage
-Winterwood Park
It turned out that the customer was booked into Rail Trail Retreat.
Rail Trail Retreat has 4 bedrooms (not 2 bedrooms) Views of the lake? Yes if you walk 5mins along the Rail Trail.
And the moral of this story? Make sure you book your accommodation through the Beechworth Visitor Information Centre. We can send you an email confirmation of your accommodation or even in hard copy. Even if you do leave your confirmation at home, I can check on our system!!
